In the Summer of 2006 Nico Jorcino
was asked to produce a large scale public art project; a mural 15' x 75' in Louisville's Southend. The mural was to be a conglomerate of his own vision using drawings from children whose famalies had imigrated to the United States.
Project conceived by the City of Louisville and Kentucky Refugee Ministries.

Faux Work, Marbling & Murals
Nico's marbling preperation is key, the finished product not only looks like real marble, but the surface is smooth to the touch and even feels like marble.

Additionally, Nico is familiar with different possibilities of combining a variety of stone to enrich the final appearance. Color and complexity of each piece can also be determined. Detail is thought out to a point wherein the faux marble is painted in a manner in which the cut of the stone is compariable to that of a stone cutter.
